Effect of Adaptive, Rotary, and Manual Root Canal Instrumentation in Primary Molars: A Triple-Armed, Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial

نویسندگان

چکیده

This clinical trial focused on collating the instrumentation time and quality of root canal obturation in primary molars treated with three techniques: adaptive, rotary, manual. A triple-armed, randomized controlled was performed 75 requiring pulpectomy treatment, divided into groups (n = 25 per group). The teeth Group 1 were instrumented an adaptive technique (XP-endo Shaper, FKG Dentaire, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland), 2 pediatric rotary files (Kedo-S; D1 E1), 3 a manual (hand K-files). apical size final maintained at #30 for all groups. Instrumentation grade evaluated. duration recorded, employing digital stopwatch from insertion first file until completion irrigation. Obturation assessed using radiographs. criteria taken as reference were: optimal (1 mm short apex), underfilled (2 or overfilled (beyond apex). use associated lowest (p < 0.0001) when used instrumenting highest filling application new concept favorable technique, considering significant reduction better obturation.

Manual and rotary instrumentation techniques for root canal prepa- ration in primary molars

Introduction: Although rotary instrumentation has been widely studied in permanent dentition, it is a rather new field of study concerning primary teeth. Purpose: We aimed to evaluate apical displacement and time needed for instrumentation of root canals of primary molars by manual and rotary techniques. Materials and Methods: Root canals of 144 extracted first and second primary maxillary mola...

Undergraduate students introduction to manual and rotary root canal instrumentation.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of undergraduates in their first contact with manual and rotary root canal instrumentation. Forty-two students who had never worked on a root canal before instrumented 42 extracted lower-incisors. Participants were assigned to one of two groups: Rotary instrumentation or manual instrumentation. Pre- and post-operative computed tomography sca...

Root Canal Cleaning Efficacy of Rotary and Hand Files Instrumentation in Primary Molars

INTRODUCTION Pulpectomy of primary teeth is commonly carried out with hand files and broaches; a tricky and time consuming procedure. The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the cleaning efficacy and time taken for instrumentation of deciduous molars using hand K-files and Flex Master rotary system. MATERIALS AND METHODS In this study, 68 canals of 23 extracted primary molars with a...

Comparison of Cleaning Efficacy and Instrumentation Time of Reciproc and Mtwo Rotary Systems in Primary Molars

Background and Aim: Pulpectomy of primary teeth is commonly performed with hand files and instruments. However, it is a time consuming procedure. Compared to hand files, rotary instrumentation has more advantages. The purpose of this in vitro study was to compare the cleaning efficacy and time taken for instrumentation of deciduous mo-lars using Reciproc and Mtwo rotary systems. Materials an...
